New Compressor Bypass Valves and Software Are Used on Certain G3500 Engines {1803, 1920, 5510}

Usage:

G3516B JEF
Engine:
G3508B (S/N: RBK1-UP)
G3516B (S/N: JEF1-UP)

Description of Change: The new software turns off the output driver for the compressor bypass valve when the engine is stopped. To receive the full benefit from the updated software, a new compressor bypass valve must be used. The new software and compressor bypass valve reduces the parasitic load on the batteries.

Note: The new software is backwards compatible with the original compressor bypass valves, but full parasitic load reduction cannot be achieved.

Adaptable To: The new engine software and compressor bypass valves replace the former software and valves. The new engine software and compressor bypass valves are adaptable back to first production on the serial numbers listed above. Refer to Tables 1 and 3 for a list of the new part numbers and former part numbers.
