Vibration Damper Bolts Break on C175-16 Petroleum Engines{1205, 7553}

Usage:

C175-16 P6L
Engine:
C175-16 (S/N: P6L1-UP)

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

While the engine is running, the heads of the vibration damper mounting bolts may break.

Solution

On engines with or without broken bolts:

  1. Mark the four 274-7709 Bolts in the countersunk locations.
