Engine Performance - Test
The purpose of testing the engine performance is the verification that the engine is in working order.
- Turn off the "ENGINE DERATE" switch and the "SHUTDOWN OVERRIDE" switch.
- Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting the Engine" (Operation Section) for instructions on starting the engine. Start the engine.
- Operate the engine at a minimum of 50% load for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Stopping" (Operation Section) for instructions on starting the engine. Stop the engine.
- Turn on the "ENGINE DERATE" switch and the "SHUTDOWN OVERRIDE" switch.
Note: The "OVERRIDE" switch must be enabled for normal standby mode.
- Return the engine to standby mode.
