I/O Transformer Location
(1) T1 Transformer

The T1 transformer (1) is a 480 VAC/230 VAC transformer that feeds the three fans at the top of the MMS I/O cabinet. The fan transformer (1) is installed on the right panel of the cabinet. Refer to Illustration 1 for the location of the transformer (1).

Removal Procedure for the Thermistor

Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, UENR3954, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (Input/Output Cabinet)" in order to shut down the system and gain access to internal components.

  1. Loosen the two screws that attach the thermistor to the terminal block of the transformer.

  2. Remove the thermistor from the terminal block.

Installation Procedure for the Thermistor

  1. Loosen the screw of the H1 connector. Loosen the screw of the "COM" connector or the connector without labeling.

  2. Attach one lead of the thermistor into the H1 connector. Attach one lead of the thermistor into the "COM" connector. Refer to Illustration 2 for the wire connections.

  3. Tighten the screws in order to attach firmly the thermistor to the terminal block for the transformer. Refer to Table 1 for specifications of the thermistor. Refer to Table 2 for specifications of the transformer (1).
