Be Sure Tubing Clamps That Fasten Air-To-Air Aftercooler To Air Lines Are Correctly Installed
Usage:
3406B Truck Engines (7FB) With Air-To-Air Aftercooling (ATAAC)
Be sure the OEM supplied tubing clamps used on the air lines going to and from the air-to-air aftercooler on 3406B Truck Engines are correctly installed. Reports indicate that in some cases when the air lines were removed and reinstalled, the clamps have been incorrectly positioned. If the clamps are positioned with the tightening head (bolt head) straight up, the bolt head can contact a hood panel. This can result in a hole worn through the hood panel after a short period of operation. When tightening the clamps, be sure they do NOT have the bolt head in a position that can contact a hood panel.
