Cold Weather Starting
注: 不推荐使用油底壳浸入式加热器加热发动机润滑油。 为了确保部件的兼容性，只能使用 Cat 推荐的设备。
使用起动辅助装置会改善在温度低于 12 °C (55 °F) 时的起动性能。 可能需要水套水加热器和/或预热曲轴箱油。
注: 循环加热的油液。 该循环有助于防止油液局部过热。
在寒冷天气下起动时可使用水套水加热器。 加热后的水将有助于保持发动机缸体中的机油在起动发动机时足够温热可以流动。
当使用 2 号柴油时，燃油加热器将保持燃油温度高过浊点。 燃油管路保温将有助于保持燃油温度。

保持蓄电池中电解液的液位适当。 保持蓄电池完全充电。
为使蓄电池获得最大电力，应加热蓄电池室或将蓄电池存放在温暖的地方。 通常，蓄电池在 −10 °C (14 °F) 时的容量只有在 27 °C (80 °F) 时的50％。
低温条件下可能需要额外的蓄电池容量。
注: 起动的最高空气压力不得超过 1030 kPa (150 psi)。
为在低温下起动发动机，可能需要以下条件：
- 起动马达的最高空气压力
- 额外的空气流量
