Data Link
The display of the system communicates with other components of the system and other machine electronic controls via the data links. The system uses two types of data links.
CAT Data Link - This two wire serial data link allows communication between the display of the system, other machine control systems and the service tool.
CAN Data Link - The CAN data link provides high speed communication between the display of the Cat Detect and the radar units. The system utilizes two CAN data links. Each CAN data link will be used for communications for half the radars in the system. The CAN data link for the Cat Detect is separate from the CAN data link the machine uses.
