Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil. Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system. Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. |
To relieve the pressure from the WDS hydraulic system, turn off the water pump. Then move the engine start switch to the OFF position.
To relieve the pressure from the hoist circuit, completely lower the tank onto the truck chassis, using the float function (refer to tank lift option). Then move the engine start switch to the OFF position.
To relieve the water pressure from the WDS, turn off the water pump.
Note: When the water pump is off and the water pressure is purged, water will still gravity feed from an open system. The amount of pressure from the gravity fed water will depend on the water level in the tank. In order to stop the gravity feed of water, turn off the water supply valve from the tank.
