Track Roller - Remove and Install

  1. Start the engine. Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Stop the engine.

  1. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Adjustment - Adjust" to release the tension and to tighten the tension of the track.

    Note: Adjust the height of Tooling (A) in order to have sufficient clearance for the removal of the track rollers.

  1. Lift the side of the machine. Install Tooling (A) under the undercarriage, as shown.

  1. Loosen bolts (1) that hold track guide (2) to the undercarriage.

    Note: Do not remove the bolts at this time.

  1. Position Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device under track guide (2). The weight of track guide (2) is approximately 29 kg (65 lb). Remove bolts (1) and track guide (2) .

  1. Loosen bolts (4) that secure track roller (3) to the undercarriage.

    Note: Do not remove bolts (4) at this time.

  1. Position Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device under track roller (3). The weight of track roller (3) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Remove bolts (4) and track roller (3) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install track roller (3) in the reverse order of removal.

      Note: Make sure the fill/drain plugs in track rollers (3) are facing toward the outside of the undercarriage.

    1. Make sure the mounting surface of track rollers (3) are clean and free of debris.
