Description of Change: The new pressure regulator and oil pump combination provide a higher nominal oil pressure.
The new oil pump used for service only includes the following improvements to the oil pump drive shaft assembly that make the pump more robust:
- The neck of the shaft at the drive end has an increased diameter.
- The drive end which previously had 14 teeth now has 18 teeth.
- The shaft is tapered at the end that is attached to the alternator pulley.

Oil Pressure Regulator and Oil Pump
The new 354-4924 Pressure Control Valve Gp replaces the 328-1699 Pressure Control Valve Gp. The new 340-9259 Engine Oil Pump Gp replaces the old 266-5365 Engine Oil Pump Gp. This new pump has a lower flow rate while the pressure control valve regulates to a high nominal pressure.
The new 354-4924 Pressure Control Valve Gp is part of the 352-8230 Oil Pressure Regulator .
The 352-8230 Oil Pressure Regulator supersedes the 326-1456 Oil Pressure Regulator

Engine Oil Pump Gp (Service Only)
The 266-5365 Engine Oil Pump Gp is now being serviced with the new 340-9261 Oil Pump in the above engines. The 266-5365 Engine Oil Pump Gp will be canceled.
The new 340-9261 Oil Pump has been released to service serial numbers WYB1-238.
Additional parts are required when the old 266-5365 Engine Oil Pump Gp is replaced with the new 340-9261 Oil Pump .
The additional parts that are needed for the new pump are listed in Table 2.

Note: Do not use the new 340-9259 Engine Oil Pump Gp without updating the engine with the new oil pressure regulator. Failure to update the regulator can result in inadequate lubrication to the engine bearings.
