The "GENERATOR OUTPUT SENSING CIRCUIT FAULT" will become active when the following conditions exist.
- The engine is running
- The EMCP 4 is receiving AC voltage and current information
- The EMCP 4 is not processing any AC measurements
Test Step 1. CHECK FOR LATEST VERSION OF SOFTWARE.
Make sure that the most recently available EMCP software flash file is installed on the controller. If needed, refer to System Operation/Test and Adjust/Troubleshooting, UENR1209, "Electronic Control Module (Generator Set) - Flash Program" to install the flash file. The most recent version of the flash file can be found on Service Information System web sight.
Results:
- OK - The latest version of EMCP software has been installed. Proceed to Test Step 2.
- NOT OK - The latest version of EMCP software has not been installed.
Repair: Download and install the latest software and check for correct operation.
STOP
Test Step 2. CHECK CAN DATA LINK.
Verify that the CAN Data Link is operating as expected. If needed, refer to System Operation/Test and Adjust/Troubleshooting, UENR1209, "Data Link Circuit Fault" to troubleshoot the data link.
Results:
- OK - The CAN Data Link is operating as expected.
Repair: If the problem is not repaired, call the dealer solutions network or the dealer technical communicator.
STOP
- NOT OK - The CAN Data Link is not operating as expected.
Repair: Use the information above to troubleshoot the CAN Data Link. Make repairs and check for correct operation.
STOP
