There has been isolated incidents with the Delphi DP210 274-4962 Fuel Injection Pump Gp. There have been a range of issues with the fuel injection pump. The engines that are installed with the Delphi DP210 can have the following issues:

• Stalling

• Low power

• Unstable speed

• Hard starting

The contributor to these issues with the fuel injection pump is the poor lubricating properties of the supplied diesel fuel.

Caterpillar recommends the use of 256-4968 Diesel Fuel Conditioner to help with fuel quality by increasing the lubricating capability of the fuel properties. Refer to Information Release Memo, PELJ0525, "New Cat Diesel Fuel Conditioner" for the correct information.
