Drive Shaft - Remove and Install
Start By:
- Remove the coupling guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Coupling Guard - Remove and Install".
- Remove the drive shaft guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft Guard - Remove and Install".

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Support the end of drive shaft (2). The weight of drive shaft (2) is approximately
27 kg (60 lb) . Remove bolts (1) and disconnect drive shaft (2).Show/hide table

27 kg (60 lb) . Remove bolts (3) and the nuts. Remove drive shaft (2). - If necessary, remove the retaining rings and spider assemblies from drive shaft (2).

- If necessary, install the spider assemblies and the retaining rings in drive shaft (2).
- Place drive shaft (2) in position. Support the end of drive shaft (2). The weight of drive shaft (2) is approximately
27 kg (60 lb) . Install the nuts and bolts (3).Show/hide table
