(2) O-Ring seal (3) Washer | |
Lubricate the O-Ring seal (2) with clean engine oil prior to assembly. Fit the O-Ring seal into the groove in the body of the auxiliary water pump.
Position the pump so that the inlet port and the outlet port are horizontal. Prior to the final tightening, tighten the nuts and bolt by hand so that the O-Ring seal is not damaged. Once the pump has been correctly positioned, final tighten the nuts and bolt.
(4) Torque for the bolt ... 22 N·m (16 lb ft)
(5) The stud must be tightened until the shoulder of the stud comes into contact with the timing case.
(6) Torque for the nut ... 22 N·m (16 lb ft)
