Air Lines - Remove and Install

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Loosen hose clamps (4). Slide hose (5) onto air elbow (1).
- Remove bolts (2). Remove air elbow (1) from turbocharger compressor housing (3). Remove the O-ring seals from the air elbow.
- Remove bolts (11) and the retainers. Remove bolts (9) and plate (10). Remove air pipe (12) from the turbocharger compressor housing. Remove the O-ring seals from the air pipe.
- Remove bolts (7) and inlet adapter (8) from the aftercooler. Remove seal (6) from inlet adapter (8).

- Install seal (6) on inlet adapter (8). Install inlet adapter (8) and bolts (7) on the aftercooler.
- Install the O-ring seals on air pipe (12). Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals. Install air pipe (12) in the turbocharger compressor housing. Install plate (10) and bolts (9). Install the retainers and bolts (11).
- Install the O-rings on air elbow (1). Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals. Install air elbow (1) in the turbocharger compressor housing. Install bolts (2).
- Slide hose (5) onto air pipe (12). Tighten hose clamps (4).
