AccuGrade ^® Version 10.71

The AccuGrade^® Version 10.71 Software has been released. The AccuGrade Version 10.71 Software will be shipped with all new Electronic kits for AccuGrade on the CD700 Display. This version of the AccuGrade Software adds ATS functionality to Track-Type Tractors. The software also adds additional languages and improves the performance with the ATS systems. The MT900 ATS target has also been released.

Features

New Functionality

The following functionality has been added to the software.

ATS functionality has been added to Track-Type Tractors. This technology offers high precision, without limitations of overhead obstacles as found with GPS.

The following languages have been added in the software for the display:

• Polish

• Icelandic

• Czech

The memory capacity when using the SPS930 or the SPS730 total stations have been increased.

Productivity reporting has been added for ATS systems when used with Motor Graders and Track-Type Tractors.

LR400C/LR410C Laser Receivers systems using fixed or manual masts are restricted to using a single mast.

The AS21 pitch value that is taken during the HEX GPS measure-up must be stabilized before saving the value to the registry.

New Sensors

The following sensor is now supported by the AccuGrade v10.71 Software.

MT900

This new machine target provides faster and more reliable connection to the Total Station.

The new machine target has the following features:

• The available ID's have been increased in order to allow more machines running ATS on a worksite. Refer to Table 2.

• The usable reflection angle has been increased to 45 degrees. This allows the user to position the Total Station on a wall that is high.

• The target must be used with Trimble SPS930 or SPS730 Total Stations on Track-Type Tractors and Motor Graders only.

• When MT900 targets are used on M-Series motor graders, the minimum Implement ECM software is 314-2378 .

Minimum Version Levels

Table 3 lists the minimum version levels of software that are required for the AccuGrade components. If the AccuGrade Version 10.71 Software is used with system components that have older versions of software, the "Diagnostics" screen will be displayed. The "Diagnostics" screen will show the correct version of software that is required.

Note: If the radio software is not the required version level, the radio will be listed as "Not Found" and the "Diagnostics" screen will continue to prompt the operator that a problem exists.

The minimum versions of firmware, excluding the radio, are stored on the display under "upgrade firmware".

The latest firmware is available on the download page of SIS web. The "Download Section" is accessed by clicking on the "Downloads" link (6) on the SIS web home page. Refer to Illustration 2.

This download is a self-extracting zip file that contains all the current production software for AccuGrade 3D version 10.7 on Motor Graders, Track-Type Tractors, Excavators, and Compactors.

Once the software is extracted, the software is broken into three main folders with sub-folders in order to help clarify the use of the different file types. The software may be in two different file types if the component can be updated through the display (*.s) as well as through Caterpillar Electronic Technician (*.fls).

There is an operating system upgrade, a power supply code upgrade as well as the .sq2 file when you move from V10.01 to V10.71. The pre-update .mch and .dsp files are automatically restored to the display, however save the files to the compact flash card before upgrading. The files (.bin, .sq2, .s) in Table 4 need to be on the root folder of the card. Turn off the power to the machine. Install the card in the display and then repower the machine. Press the display power button and you will be prompted to update. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

Display - Contains the display firmware (*.SG2)

Radio - Contains the Radio folders that have instructions and firmware in order to update the radio. A radio service cable and MCGFlash are required in order to flash the radio.

Sensors - Contains two subfolders, which are Cat ET Flashable and Display Flashable. The AccuGrade components for the Excavator system must be upgraded via the display. Some of the AccuGrade components can be flashed with Cat ET and will use a *.fls file type. The Display can be used in order to upgrade most AccuGrade components by entering the "Upgrade Software" menu on the display.
