Personal injury can result from rotating and moving parts. Stay clear of all rotating and moving parts. Never attempt adjustments while the machine is moving or the engine is running unless otherwise specified. The machine must be parked on a level surface and the engine stopped. Attach a "Do Not Operate" or similar warning tag to the start switch and controls before servicing, repairing, or making adjustments to the machine. |
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement. Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine. |

Tool | Part |
T1 | Loctite® 243 |
- Position and lock the seat in the (0 degree) FORWARD position.

Illustration 1 g06217380 - Remove seat to gain access to the sensors by removing four bolts (1).
- With the seat locked in the FORWARD position, measure air gap (D1) between lock arm (2) and sensor (3).
- Measure air gap (D1) between sensor (4) and ring (5).
- UNLOCK and rotate upper seat base to the (100 degree) REARWARD position.

If air gap (D1) is at the specified measurement listed in Table 1, adjustment of the sensor will be necessary. Refer to the "Adjustment Procedure" section.
- To adjust air gap (D1) of a sensor, loosen bolts (7).
- Slide the sensor plate in the bolt slots to the desired position.
- Apply Loctite® 243 to the threads of bolts (7).
- Tighten bolts (7).
- Recheck air gap (D1) after bolts (7) are tightened.
