The monitoring system provides three warning categories. A Warning Category 1 requires only operator awareness. When a Warning Category 1 occurs, the monitoring system causes an alert indicator to turn on.
A Warning Category 2 needs operator response. When a Warning Category 2 occurs, the monitoring system causes one or more indicators to turn on. A Warning Category 2 also causes the master action light (1) to flash.
Note: Do not operate the machine until the cause of the warning has been corrected.
A Warning Category 3 requires immediate shutdown of the machine systems. When a Warning Category 3 occurs, the monitoring system causes one or more alert indicators to turn on. The monitoring system also causes the master action light (1) to flash. The action alarm also sounds.
When a Warning Category 3 occurs during machine operation, stop the machine immediately and engage the parking brake. Stop the engine. Investigate the cause of the warning before returning the machine to service.
For the steering system, a Warning Category 3 occurs when there is a loss of primary steering oil pressure in the system. This situation causes primary steering indicator (2) to turn on. The monitoring system also causes the master action light to flash. The action alarm also sounds.
Note: Warning Category 3 occurs if the machine is using the secondary steering system. This warning also causes secondary steering indicator (3) to flash.
Note: A test of the secondary steering pump and electric motor occurs after you start the engine. The test lasts for approximately 5 seconds. During the test, secondary steering indicator (3) flashes.
