Battery or Battery Cable - Inspect/Replace
Tighten the battery retainers on all batteries at every 250 hour interval.
Perform the following procedures at every 250 hour interval. Check the following areas more often, as required:
- Clean the top of the batteries with a clean cloth.
- Keep the terminals clean and coat the terminals with petroleum jelly.
- Keep the terminal covers in place.

- Open the access cover. The access cover is located behind the cab on the right side of the machine.
- Clean the top of the batteries with a clean cloth. Keep the terminals clean and coated with petroleum jelly. Install the terminal covers after you coat the terminals.
- Close the access cover.
