Start By:
- Remove the bottom guards.

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death. |
- Align sprocket segment (1) with the idler on the right side of the machine. Remove nuts (2) and the bolts. Remove sprocket segment (1). This procedure will allow the roller frame to pivot when the front of the machine is raised.

- Lift the blade assembly and install Tooling (D) .

- Use Tooling (C) to raise the machine. Place a 152 mm (6.0 inch) block under the left track. Lower the machine on the block until the weight is removed from the equalizer bar pins.

- Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to support both ends of equalizer bar (3). The weight of equalizer bar (3) is approximately 102 kg (225 lb) to 259 kg (570 lb).

- Remove bolts (4), guards (5), and pin (6). Repeat this step for the opposite side of the equalizer bar.

- Disconnect grease hose assembly (7) and remove the fitting. Repeat this step for the opposite side.

- Remove bolt (8), the washer, and the spacer.

- Use Tooling (E) to remove center pin (9) .
- Use Tooling (C) to raise the machine for removal of the equalizer bar.

- Use Tooling (B) to raise the left side of equalizer bar (3). Lower the right side of equalizer bar (3) until the right side of equalizer bar (3) will clear the frame.

- Lower the left side and remove equalizer bar (3).
Installation Procedure
- Install equalizer bar (3) in the reverse order of removal.
