Cylinder Block Cover - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the engine control module. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Control Module - Remove and Install".
  2. Remove the fuel manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Control Manifold (ARD) - Remove".

  1. Disconnect tube assembly (1) and disconnect harness assembly (2) .

  1. Remove bolt (3) .

  1. Remove nut (5) and remove bracket (4) .

  1. Remove bolts (6) and remove cover (7) .

Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.



NOTICE

Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

  1. Position cover (7) and install bolts (6) .

  1. Position bracket (4) and install nut (5) .

  1. Install bolt (3) .

  1. Connect tube assembly (1) and connect harness assembly (2) .

End By:

  1. Install the fuel manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Control Manifold (ARD) - Install".
  2. Install the engine control module. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Control Module - Remove and Install".
