Note: Verifying all parts are shipped and undamaged for preparation of assembly. Missing or damaged parts can be ordered prior to assembly to avoid delays during assembly.

Installation Procedure

Start By:

1. Install the tire and rim.

1. Clean the pin bores of the loader frame and lift cylinders free of wax, dirt, debris, paint, and grease.

2. Clean the pin bores of lift arm (1) free of wax, dirt, debris, paint, and grease.

3. Use a suitable lifting device to position two pins (3). The weight of each pin (3) is approximately 242 kg (5335 lb). Clean two pins (3) and four collets (4) free of wax, dirt, debris, paint, and grease.

4. Apply Tooling (A) to the outer diameter of lip seals (9) prior to installation. Install four lip seals (9).

5. Remove four bolts (12), four hard washers (13), and one guard assembly (21). Retain all hardware.

6. Disconnect and reposition one hose assembly (11), one hose assembly (14), one hose assembly (15), one hose assembly (16), one hose assembly (27), one hose assembly (18), two hose assemblies (19), one hose assembly (20), and one hose assembly (22).

7. Remove four bolts (23), four hard washers (24), and one step assembly (25). Retain all hardware.

8. Attach a suitable lifting device to lift arms (1). The weight of the lift arms (standard) (1) is approximately 27511 kg (60650 lb). The weight of lift arms (high lift) (1) is approximately 29131 kg (64225 lb). Align the pin bore of lift arms (1) and the bore of the loader frame. Determine the amount of shims (2) and shims (10) that is required to eliminate lift arm to loader frame gap. Use shims (2) and shims (10) as required.

9. Use Tooling (C), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device to install pins (3). The weight of each pin (3) is approximately 242 kg (535 lb). Install two pins (3), shims (2), and shims (10).

10. Remove Tooling (C), Tooling (B), and the suitable lifting device.

11. Apply Tooling (D) to the threads of two bolts (8). Apply Tooling (D) to the inside and outside diameters of four collets (4).

12. Install four collets (4), four washers (7), two bolts (8), and two nuts (6). Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1328 ± 148 lb ft). Impact the joint to reduce the torque of bolts (8) to less than 950 N·m (701 lb ft). Retighten bolts (8) to a torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1328 ± 148 lb ft). Impact the joint to reduce the torque of bolts (8) to less than 1600 N·m (1180 lb ft). Retighten bolts (8) to a final torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1328 ± 148 lb ft).

13. Install 12 plugs (5).

    Note: The suitable cribbing is stacked alternately.

14. Use suitable cribbing to support lift arms (1) to a height of Dimension (X). Dimension (X) is 3810 mm (150 inch). Lower lift arms (1) onto the suitable cribbing. Remove the suitable lifting device from lift arms (1).

15. Install one step assembly (25), four hard washers (24), and four bolts (23).

16. Connect one hose assembly (11), one hose assembly (14), one hose assembly (15), one hose assembly (16), one hose assembly (27), one hose assembly (18), two hose assemblies (19), one hose assembly (20), and one hose assembly (22).

17. Install one guard assembly (21), four hard washers (13), and four bolts (12).
