Again tighten to 24 ± 1 N·m (212 ± 9 lb in)

Nut  Torque to 38 ± 2 N·m (28 ± 1 lb ft)
5C-7261 Nut  Use following procedure to install wiper arm.
Torque to 23 ± 1 N·m (204 ± 9 lb in).
Wait for minimum 0.5 hour to 4 hours maximum.
Again tighten to 23 ± 1 N·m (204 ± 9 lb in)

Wiping angle from automatic parking position is 130 ± 3 degrees. 
Use the following tightening procedure to tighten the nut:
If mounted in glass, tighten the nut to 6.5 ± 0.5 N·m (57.5 ± 4.4 lb in).
If mounted in steel, tighten the nut to 7.5 ± 0.5 N·m (66.4 ± 4.4 lb in)
Use the following tightening procedure to tighten the nut:
If mounted in glass, tighten the nut to 6.5 ± 0.5 N·m (57.5 ± 4.4 lb in).
If mounted in steel, tighten the nut to 9 ± 1 N·m (80 ± 9 lb in)
5C-7261 Nut  Use following procedure to install wiper arm.
Torque to 21 ± 1 N·m (186 ± 9 lb in).
Wait for minimum 0.5 hour to 4 hours maximum.
Again tighten to 21 ± 1 N·m (186 ± 9 lb in)

Removal Procedure

  1. Articulate the machine to the left. Install wood blocks on all four wheels. The blocks will prevent movement. The articulation of the machine will allow access to the window wiper motor.

  2. Move the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Disconnect both battery terminals.

  3. Unlock cover (1) in order to open cover (1).

  4. Raise covers (2).

  5. Remove nuts (3).

  6. Remove hose (4) from wiper arm (5).

  7. Remove both wiper arms (5).

    Note: Check wiper arms (5) for wear.

  9. Remove bolts (7) from plate assembly (8).

  10. Remove hose (10) from plate assembly (8). Disconnect harness assembly (9).

  11. Remove nuts (11). Remove window wiper motor (12).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install window wiper motor (12) and wiper arms (5) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten nuts (11) to a torque of 38 ± 2 N·m (28 ± 1 lb ft).

    2. Tighten nuts (3) to a torque of 23 ± 1 N·m (204 ± 9 lb in). Wait at least half an hour. Tighten nuts (3) again to 23 ± 1 N·m (204 ± 9 lb in).
