New Routing for Angle Cylinder Hoses is Now Used on Certain D6N Track-Type Tractors {5057, 5101, 5104}

Description of Change: New routing of the angle cylinder hoses is now used on certain D6N Track-Type Tractors. New routing of the angle cylinder hoses will prevent the hose coupling from becoming loose during cylinder and machine movement.
Adaptable To: The new hose routing is effective with the following machines: D6N (S/N: PBA921-UP; PER412-UP)
The new hose routing is adaptable to the following machines using the rework procedure below: D6N (S/N: PBA1-920; PER1-411)
Rework Procedure
- Remove 361-4935 Channel As (left-hand) (1) and 361-4934 Channel As (right-hand) (2) .

- Remove the left and right 387-5239 Guard As (3) .
- Remove two 7C-4354 Clips (4) from each cylinder.

- Grind off lug (5) from the cylinder on both sides of the machine. Paint the cylinders in order to prevent rusting.

- Verify the torque for 361-4942 Hose As and 361-4939 Hose As (6) on both cylinders. The required torque is 65 ± 10 N·m (48 ± 7 lb ft).

- Reinstall channels (1) and (2). Reinstall guard (3) .
