The steering cylinders are located in the articulation are in the center of the machine. The steering cylinders and the articulation joint allow a 45° degree steering angle.
The left steering cylinder (1) and the right steering cylinder (not shown) receive oil from the steering control unit. When a left turn is initiated, oil from the steering control unit is directed to the rod end of the left steering cylinder (1) and the head end of the right steering cylinder. When a right turn is initiated, oil from the steering control unit is directed to the rod end of the right steering cylinder and the head end of the left steering cylinder.
