Engine Water Pump - Inspect
A water pump that has failed might cause severe engine overheating. Severe engine overheating could result in the following problems:
- Cracks in the cylinder head
- Piston seizure
- Other potential engine damage

Open the grill assembly on the left side of the machine and remove the engine access covers. Water pump (1) is located on the engine block at the front of the engine.
Visually inspect the water pump for leaks. If leaks are found, all the seals must be replaced. If there is an excessive leakage of coolant, replace the water pump.
Note: in order to replace the water pump, refer to the appropriate Disassembly and Assembly manual for your engine.
