Note: After you operate a new machine for the initial 50 service hours, perform the following maintenance procedure. After you operate a machine with a newly installed bucket or any newly installed collet pin for the initial 50 service hours, perform the following maintenance procedure. Once the initial 50 service hour period is past, continue to perform the following maintenance procedure after every 500 service hours, or 3 months.

Perform the following maintenance procedure in order to check the collet pin bolt torque on this machine.
Torque the bolts on the collet pins for pin joints (A) , (C) , (E) , (D) , (F) , (G) , (K) , and (Y) .
- Torque the bolts to 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 150 lb ft).
- Strike the collet until the bolt torque decreases to 950 N·m (750 lb ft) or less.

When striking the collet with a large hammer, protect the bolt head with a spacer to prevent bolt damage. |
- Torque the bolts to 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 150 lb ft).
- Strike the collet until the bolt torque decreases to 1600 N·m (1200 lb ft) or less.
- Torque the bolts to 1800 ± 200 N·m (1330 ± 150 lb ft).
