Lubricate Clamp When Installing Unit Injector Assemblies{1290}
Usage:
3500 Series Engines
Be sure to lubricate the contact surface between the 8N8069 Clamp and 8N9944 Plug with engine oil before installing the clamp that holds the unit injector in place. This helps the clamp center itself and prevents binding between the injector assembly and cylinder head bore. Tighten the retainer bolt to 65 ± 7 N·m (48 ± 5 lb ft).
