Fuel Manifold (ARD) - Remove

Usage:

C7 C7S

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the air compressor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Compressor - Remove and Install".
  2. Remove the oil manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oil Manifold - Remove and Install".


    NOTICE

    Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

    Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.



    NOTICE

    Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

    Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.

    Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.


    Note: Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies.

  1. Remove cable straps (1). Disconnect harness assembly (3). Disconnect tube assembly (2) .

  1. Remove bolt (4) and bolt (5) in order to position tube assembly (2) out of the way.

  1. Disconnect tube assembly (6). Remove tube assembly (7). Disconnect tube assembly (8). Remove bolt (11). Remove tube assembly (8). Disconnect tube assemblies (9) and (10) .

  1. Remove bolts (12) and (13). Remove nut (15). Reposition fuel manifold (14) .

  1. Disconnect harness assemblies (16) and (17). Remove fuel manifold (14) .
