Description of Change: New hoses and new hose clamps are now used on 980H Wheel Loaders. The new hoses and the new clamps replace the previous hose and the previous hose clamps. The new hose and the new clamps provide increased service life and durability for the transmission cooler lines.

Adaptable To: The new 329-1914 Hoses and the new 328-7512 Hose Clamps replace the previous 243-2746 Hoses and the previous 8T-6703 Hose Clamps. The new hose and the new hose clamps are adapted to the following machines:

• 980G Series II (S/N: AXG1-UP)

• 980G Series II (S/N: AWH1-UP)

• 980G Series II (S/N: AYT1-UP)

• 980G (S/N: 9CM1-UP)

• 980G (S/N: 2KR1-UP)

• 980G (S/N: 2SR1-UP)

• 980H (S/N: MHG1-4125)

• 980H (S/N: A8J1-4012)

• 980H (S/N: JMS1-4297)

• 980H (S/N: A8J4013-UP)

• 980H (S/N: JMS4298-UP)

• 980H (S/N: MHG4126-UP)

1. Remove eight 8T-6703 Hose Clamps (2) from the two 243-2746 Hoses (1). Remove the two 243-2746 Hose (1). Discard the two hoses and discard the eight hose clamps.

2. Install 329-1914 Hose (3) between 173-1027 Tube Assembly (A) and 232-6405 Tube Assembly (B). Install two 328-7512 Hose Clamps (4) onto hose (3). Tighten both hose clamps to 5.6 ± .5 N·m (4 ± 0.37 lb ft).

3. Install 329-1914 Hose (5) between 224-9046 Tube Assembly (C) and 173-1026 Tube Assembly (D). Install two 328-7512 Hose Clamps (6) onto hose (5). Tighten both hose clamps to 5.6 ± .5 N·m (4 ± 0.37 lb ft).
