柴油发动机 (1) 的动力从飞轮传递到变矩器 (2) 。 变矩器(叶轮离合器)有锁止离合器(如有配备)。 锁止离合器提供直接驱动能力。 变矩器内,叶轮紧固在液压驱动离合器的轮毂上。 叶轮离合器使变矩器扭矩传输能力的降低成为可控。 这相当于在变矩器输出大小上放置一道限制。

注: 锁止离合器是 854K 轮式推土机 的标准部件。 锁止离合器不是 992K 轮式装载机 的标准部件。

传动系电子控制模块(ECM)和降低牵引力的选择开关控制叶轮离合器。 左侧行车制动踏板也用于改变变矩器的变矩能力,以控制车轮的打滑。 左侧行车制动踏板也改变变矩器的变矩能力,以加快液压系统响应。

锁止离合器由传动系(ECM)控制。 当锁止离合器启用时,传动系 ECM 决定锁止离合器接合的时间。

变矩器输出轴的动力经过驱动轴 (3) 传递到输入分动器 (4) 。 分动器的输出齿轮转动变速箱 (5) 的输入轴。

变速箱中液压驱动的五个离合器提供了三个前进档和三个倒档。 使用 STIC 转向和变速箱控制来选择速度和方向。

变速箱输出轴通过分动器 (12) 中的空转齿轮输送动力到分动器的输出齿轮。 输出齿轮经过驱动轴 (11) 传递动力到后驱动小齿轮 (10) 上。 输出齿轮也通过驱动轴 (6) 和驱动轴 (7) 和轴承罩 (13) 同时传递动力到前驱动小齿轮 (14) 。
