(1) Base assembly

Apply 154-9731 Thread Lock Compound on the tapered end of the hollow stud to length (D) . ... 10.2 ± 1.5 mm (0.40 ± 0.06 inch)
Torque for hollow stud (4) ... 80 ± 14 N·m (60 ± 10 lb ft)

(2) Torque for taperlock studs ... 37 ± 5 N·m (27 ± 4 lb ft)

(3) Put clean engine oil on the filter seal. Tighten the filter until the seal contacts the base. After the seal contacts the base, rotate the filter by 180 degrees.

(5) Lightly lubricate the bore of the O-ring seal with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(6) 4N-8150 Spring

Length under test force ... 55.24 mm (2.175 inch)
Test force ... 75.619 ± 5.8 N (17 ± 1.3 lb)
Free length after test ... 93.726 mm (3.6900 inch)
Outside diameter ... 20.6 mm (0.81 inch)

(7) The filter bypass valve must open at the following pressure difference. ... 255 ± 21 kPa (37 ± 3.0 psi)
