Brake Accumulator - Remove and Install

Usage:

938H JKM

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and open door (2).

  2. Disconnect tube assembly (3). Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (5). Remove bolt (7) and brake accumulators (6).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install brake accumulators (6) and bolt (7). Connect tube assembly (3). Connect hose assemblies (4) and (5).

  2. Close door (2) and install bolts (1) .
