Section A-A and View of Area D

    (A) 196.3 ± 1.0 mm (7.73 ± 0.04 inch)

    (B) 47°

    (C) 151.8 mm (5.98 inch)

  1. Loosen nut (1). Set the pedal stop (2) to the minimum position.

  1. Ensure that the lever (6) is in contact with the pin (5) on the bracket. The length (C) between the bracket for the cable and the lever (6) should be 151.8 mm (5.98 inch).

  1. Measure the length of dimension (A). The length should be 196.3 ± 1.0 mm (7.73 ± 0.04 inch). If the length is not within the specification, adjust the rod (4) .

  1. Disconnect the rod (4) from the lever (6) .

  1. Loosen the nut (8) on the adjusting rod (4). Adjust the adjusting rod until the length (A) is 196.3 ± 1.0 mm (7.73 ± 0.04 inch). In order to adjust the rod length (A), rotate the end (7) of the adjusting rod. Check the angle (B) between the pedal and the floor. Angle (B) should be approximately 47°.

  1. Start the Engine.

  1. Push the pedal to the HIGH IDLE position. HIGH IDLE is 2630 ± 50 RPM. Adjust the stop bolt (2) to the bottom of the pedal (3). Turn the bolt (2) clockwise by 180°. Tighten the nut (1) .

  1. Ensure that all nuts are tight.

  1. Start the engine. Check the control. If the control is still out of adjustment, repeat the procedure.
