Muffler - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure

Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin. |
- Remove bolts (2) that secure pipe assembly (1) to hood assembly (3). Remove pipe assembly (2) from the machine.

- Open door assembly (4) .

- Remove bolts (5) from muffler support (6) .

- Loosen clamps (8) and disconnect tube (9) .

- Loosen muffler clamp (10) .

- Disconnect muffler assembly (11) from the engine.
- Remove muffler assembly (11) from left side of the machine.
Installation Procedure

- Use two people to position muffler assembly (11) on the engine.

Note: Muffler assembly (11) must be installed from the LH side of machine.
- Position muffler support (6) in the proper mounting location.
- Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (5). Install bolts (5) in order to secure muffler support (6) .
- Position muffler clamp (10) in the proper location, as shown.
- Tighten muffler clamp (10) to a torque of 47 ± 7 N·m (35 ± 5 lb ft).
- Close door assembly (4) .

- Connect tube (9). Tighten clamps (8) in order to secure the tube.

- Position pipe assembly (1) on hood assembly (3), as shown. Install bolts (2) in order to secure pipe assembly to hood assembly.
