Description of Change: A new cover for the right console and support bracket are used. The new parts improve the clearance between the cover and the Cat Comfort Seat Group.

Adaptable To: The following table lists the new parts. The new parts were effective with 990 Series II (S/N: BCR138-UP) Wheel Loaders, 844 (S/N: BBN112-UP) Wheel Tractors and 854 (S/N: AMP309-UP) Wheel Tractors. The new parts are adaptable to the machines that are listed.

1. Remove the seat and remove the right armrest.

   Reference: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Seat - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

2. Replace the existing right side bracket assembly with the new 178-3905 Bracket. Install the operator seat.

   Reference: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Seat - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

3. Install the right side armrest assembly up to the point when the cover will be installed. Do not install the cover at this time. Install the new 208-1015 Bracket (1).

4. Use tape, or equivalent, in order to temporarily hold the two 9X-2038 Washers (4) in place. Install the new 208-1014 Cover (5) by using one new 9X-2044 Screw (2) and existing screws. Install the remaining armrest components.

   Note: Only one new 9X-2044 Screw (2) is used. This screw is used to attach the cover to the new bracket (1). The remainder of the screws that are used are existing screws.
