  1. Attach the gauge to pressure tap (PV) .

  1. Warm the transmission oil to operating temperature.

  1. Move the parking brake switch to the Off position.

  1. Run the engine at LOW IDLE. Note the pressure on the gauge. The pressure should be 2925 ± 125 kPa (424 ± 18 psi).

  1. If the pressure that is observed is not 2925 ± 125 kPa (424 ± 18 psi), perform the following steps:

    1. Move the parking brake switch to the On position. Shut off the engine.

    1. Loosen locknut (2) .

    1. Turn adjustment screw (1) clockwise in order to increase the pressure setting. Turn adjustment screw (1) counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure setting.

Note: Turn adjustment screw (1) counterclockwise past the desired pressure setting. Then, turn adjustment screw (1) clockwise to the correct pressure setting. This method of adjustment eliminates any movement in the threads.

    1. Tighten locknut (2) to a torque of 25 ± 4 N·m (18 ± 3 lb ft).

    1. Repeat Steps 3 through 5.
