Use the following procedure in order to assemble the water separator and fuel filter:
- Remove bowl (4) from the bottom of fuel filter (3).
- Remove the ring seal from the bowl. Discard the ring seal.
Note: Replacement filters include a new ring seal. Reuse bowl (4) and use a new ring seal whenever a new fuel filter is installed.
- Lubricate the newring seal with clean engine oil. Install the new ring seal in the groove of bowl (4).
- Thread bowl (4) onto the bottom of fuel filter (3).
Tighten bowl (4) to the following torque. ...
