Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Connect the frame lock link. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Frame Lock Link - Separate and Connect".
- Install the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
Note: Install caps and plugs on all openings in order to prevent dirt or debris from entering the system. Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Note: For easier assembly, mark all hose assemblies, tube assemblies, wire harnesses and cables for identification purposes.
- Remove two bolts (1) and the washers. Remove the plate and baffle assembly (2) .

- Disconnect the following items: hose assembly (3), hose assembly (4), hose assembly (5) and hose assembly (6) .

- Disconnect wiring harness (7) and wiring harness (8) at the electrical connection.

- Fasten the seat belt on seat (9). Fasten a suitable lifting sling to the seat belt. Fasten the opposite end of the suitable lifting sling to a hoist.

- Remove four bolts (10) and the washers.

- Position seat (9) forward. Disconnect wiring harness (11) at the electrical connection.

- Remove the seat. The weight of the assembled seat is 80 kg (175 lb).
