Assembly Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
Note: Verify that all of the components of the steering return screen are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
- Install plug (13) and O-ring seal (12) to base (5) .

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury. To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment. |

- Install bypass switch (11), O-ring seal (10), piston (9), and spring (8) to base (5) .
- Install plug (7) and O-ring seal (6) to housing assembly (4) .

- Install housing assembly (4), spring (3), screen assembly (2), and O-ring seal (1) to base (5) .
- Tighten housing assembly (4) until housing assembly (4) is seated against base (5) .
Note: DO NOT use an air wrench to tighten housing assembly (4) .
End By: Install the steering return screen. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Screen (Steering Return) - Install".
