Apply the service brake in order to stop the machine. Move the transmission control lever and the transmission direction control switch (if equipped) to the NEUTRAL position. Move the speed control lever to the LOW IDLE position. Engage the parking brake.

Lower all attachments to the ground.

Stop the engine.

Turn the engine start switch key to OFF position and remove the key.

Turn the key for the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Remove the key when you get off the machine for an extended period of time.

When you turn the battery disconnect switch to the off position, you can avoid battery discharge due to the following causes:

• battery short circuit

• current draw via some components

• vandalism
