613C Series II Wheel Tractor-Scraper Machine Systems Caterpillar

Removal Procedure

1. Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Lower the scraper bowl to the ground and engage the parking brake. Chock the wheels in order to prevent the machine from moving.

2. Move the ejector to the front of the scraper bowl.

3. Attach a nylon lifting strap and a hoist to the ejector.

4. Remove three bolts (1) and plate (2) from ejector (3) .

5. Place the cribbing under the ejector cylinder, as shown.

6. Use a hammer and a brass rod to remove pin (4) from ejector (3) .

7. Use a hoist to move the ejector forward in order to remove the ejector support roller from the track assembly.

8. Place the cribbing under the ejector, as shown.

9. Remove nut (5) from roller (6) .

10. Use a soft faced hammer to remove roller (6) from ejector (3) .
