Usage:
994D (3TZ) Wheel Loaders
Reference: Service Manual Module, RENR2510, Braking System Specifications, 994D Wheel Loader. This module is found in Service Manual, RENR2500 Volume II, 994D Wheel Loader.
Corrections should be made to Service Manual Module RENR2510, Braking System Specifications; "Brake Control", Page 14 as follows.
1. Apply 1P-0808 Grease to the shaft assembly prior to assembly.
2. Tighten the pressure switch for the brake accumulators to the following torque...40 ± 5 N·m (30 ± 4 lb ft)
3. Roller switch for the stop lamp.
4. Tighten the pressure switch for the parking brake to the following torque...40 ± 5 N·m (30 ± 4 lb ft)
Section A-A
6. Tighten the nut to the following maximum torque...20 N·m (15 lb ft)
7. Torque for the two bolts...80 ± 4 N·m (60 ± 3 lb ft)
Section B-B
14. Apply 1P-0808 Grease to the shaft assembly prior to assembly.
Detail C
15. Rod assembly for the service brake valve.
17. Cable assembly for the left pedal.
19. Cable assembly for the service brake pedal.
Adjustment Procedure
1. Set Dimension (A) at 137 mm (5.4 in)
2. Adjust screw (16) in lever (10) to Dimension (B). Dimension (B) equals 2 ± 0.3 mm (.079 ± .012 in)
3. After cable assemblies (17) and (19) are attached, adjust screw (18) in lever (13) to Dimension (C). Dimension (C) equals 0.5 ± 0.3 mm (.02 ± .01 in). Dimension (C) is the gap between screw (18) and lever (12).
Adjustment Of The Roller Switch Assembly For The Stop Lamp
1. With the brake valve in the OFF position, bring roller switch (3) into light contact with the surface of the ramp. The brake valve is in the OFF position when stem (5) is fully extended.
2. Move bracket (8) by 2.75 mm (.108 in) toward the ramp. Moving the bracket will depress the roller switch to the OFF position.
