卡特彼勒推荐在缸盖上接地。 特定应用类型的接地部位还可以选在发动机的其它位置上。 有关非标准接地位置，请参阅 OEM 提供的资料。
检查原设备制造厂线束连接和状况是否良好。
气缸盖接地螺栓必须具备连接到蓄电池的接地线。 每一次换机油时要拧紧气缸盖接地螺栓。 接地线和接地带应共同连接到发动机接地点。 所有接地点必须紧固和无腐蚀现象。
- 用干净的布清洁气缸盖接地螺栓及气缸盖接地带端子。
- 如果连接处被腐蚀，使用烘焙苏打和水的溶液清洁连接处。
- 保持气缸盖接地螺栓和接地带清洁，并用多用途含钼润滑脂 (MPGM) 或凡士林涂覆。
