Certain 6T8660 Idler Shafts And 9W7234 Seal Groups Used In D11N Tractors Need To Removed From Parts Stock Caterpillar

Termination Date

Problem

Certain 6T8660 Idler Shafts and 9W7234 Seal Groups used on D11N Tractors need to be removed from Parts Stock.

Action Required

Inspect all 6T8660 Shafts in Parts Stock. If the shaft is stamped with an "X" or a "B" on the plug end, return it to stock. If the shaft does NOT have an "X" or a "B" on the plug end, remove it from Parts Stock.

Remove all 9W7234 Seal Groups from Parts Stock with a date code prior to 069516 from Parts Stock. The date code is located in the lower left hand corner of the label of the seal box. The date code is month, year, plant. For example, "059516" represents May-1995-East Peoria.

Service Claim Allowances

Submit one claim for all 6T8660 Shafts and 9W7234 Seal Groups removed from Parts Stock.

NOTE: US and Canadian Dealers Only - When submitting a Parts Stock claim use 99Z00001 in the Product Identification Number Field.

Parts Disposition

U.S. and Canadian Dealers

Return all 6T8660 Shafts that are removed from Parts Stock and a copy of the claim to:

Handle the 9W7234 Seal Groups that are removed from Parts Stock in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.

All Other Dealers

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
