In order to check the turbocharger bearing clearances, the turbocharger must first be removed from the engine. Then, the turbocharger compressor housing and the turbocharger exhaust housing must be removed. Use the applicable Disassembly and Assembly Module as a reference for performing those procedures.
Illustrations 1 and 2 show the measurement locations for the turbocharger bearing clearances for 3600 Engines. Table 1 identifies the turbochargers. Table 2 provides the specification for the turbocharger bearing clearances.
