Exhaust Elbow Support Improved{1059,1061}

Usage:

777 Trucks;
776 Tractors;
All D348 Engines And D349 Vehicular Engines

Description of Change: An improved exhaust elbow support is now used in the above products.

Some areas of the support have been made thicker for added strenght. Also, spotfaces have been added to the four 13.49 mm (.531") diameter holes to give better surfaces for the bolts and washers.

Before the improvements, it was possible for the support to have cracks caused by stress around the bolt holes. The cracks permitted coolant leakage from the cylinder block.

Adaptable As: The improved 8L4899 Exhaust Elbow Support is a direct replacement for the earlier 8L4899 Exhaust Elbow Support. The part number did not change.

The arrows (marks) show the areas where the thickness has been increased. Spotfaces also are shown.
