Brake Master Cylinder

Usage:

Disassemble Brake Master Cylinder

start by:

a) remove brake master cylinder and power cylinder

1. Remove the three bolts that hold the master cylinder to the power cylinder. Remove the master cylinder.

2. Push the piston (3) in and remove the ring (6).

3. Remove piston (3), cup (5), retainer (2), spring (1), and check valve (4).

4. Remove ring (11), retainer (10), spring (9), and valve (8) from piston (3).

5. Remove the reaction piston (12) from piston (3).

6. Remove the seal and packing from reaction piston.

7. Remove cup (7) from the piston.

Assemble Brake Master Cylinder

1. Put the cups, packing and seals in clean brake fluid. Install the cup (2) on the piston (3).

NOTE: Install all cups and packing with lip edge toward end of master cylinder for the check valve.

2. Install the seal (8) and packing (7) on the reaction piston (9). Install the reaction piston in piston (3).

3. Install valve (4), spring (10), retainer and ring that holds valve in piston.

4. Put the check valve (12), spring (6), retainer (11), cup (5) and piston in the master cylinder. Install the ring (1) that holds the piston in the cylinder.

5. Put the master cylinder in position on the power cylinder and install the three bolts that hold them together.

a) install master cylinder and power cylinder
