Boss Can Be Removed From Spacer Plate Cylinder Block To Get Clearance For Oil Filler Tube{1201,1316}

Usage:

3306 Truck Engines ( 76R ),
Arrangement Numbers 9E564, 9E566, 9E814, 9E1067, 9L6801, 9N1237, 9N1239, 9N3564, 9N3566, and 9N3568

When a current spacer plate cylinder block is used as a replacement for the counterbore block in any of the above engines, the original oil filler tube parts will not fit. The spacer plate cylinder block has a boss which does not give clearance for the elbow used at the base of the tube.

The boss on the spacer plate cylinder block (see the illustration) can be ground to permit the elbow, tube assembly and hardware to fit. If desired, new parts which will fit on the spacer plate cylinder block can be used. The new parts needed are 1-9N6178 Tube Assembly, 1-9N6176 Elbow, 1-9N6175 Bracket, 1-4F8386 Gasket, and 1-1A2029 Bolt.

Location of boss which must be removed from spacer plate cylinder block to permit use of the oil filler tube parts.
