Description Of Change: Improved electrical grounding is now used on certain 308E2 CR Mini Hydraulic Excavators. A ground strap is added between the cab and operator platform to improve electrical ground reliability.

Installation Procedure

- Locate and remove two bolts (2) and two washers (3) from harness ring terminals. Move harness ring terminals away from ground boss.
- Install ground strap (1) with flat side of terminal directly to boss and threaded hole.
- Reinstall existing harness ring terminals on top of ground strap (1) terminals.
- Reinstall two washers (3) and two bolts (2) and tighten to
33 ± 4 N·m (24 ± 3 lb ft) . - Perform "Functional Check".
Functional Check
- Turn on the dome lamp, work light, wiper motor, and radio (if equipped).
- Turn on A/C and set blower motor to high speed.
- Observe cab components turned on in Step 1 for any malfunction. If components function correctly, the installation was successful. If not, review the installation steps.
